Electric Scooters (eScooters)
Due to specific state eScooter laws the operation of an eScooter in some of our parks is prohibited.
Guests may only operate an eScooter in parks where state laws permit the operation of an eScooter in public places, outside of an approved eScooter trial.
• It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure an eScooter is only ridden in places where eScooters are legally permitted to be operated. We advise that you consider state laws before arriving in park.
• Where eScooters are permitted, the eScooter must not be operated at a speed greater than the park safe speed limit which is 5km/hr (walking pace).
• Discovery Parks reserves the right to direct an operator of an eScooter to immediately cease operation if the operator is riding in an unsafe manner, creating an unacceptable risk to themselves or to others guests, in circumstances where state laws prohibit the operation of eScooters in the park, or otherwise at its discretion.
Note: Roads, pathways and open spaces within our parks are considered public places.
